UK deliveries
 
UK: £2.50 for the first item, plus £1.00 for each additional item to the same address
We deliver to all addresses in the UK and the Channel Islands by 1st class mail. Please allow 3 to 4 working days for you or your recipient to receive the order.
 
International deliveries
 
Europe: £3.00 for the first item, plus £1.25 for each additional item to the same address
We deliver to all destinations within Europe by Airmail. Please allow 5 to 6 working days for you or your recipient to receive the order.
 
Rest of the world: £4.50 for the first item, plus £2.25 for each additional item to the same address
We deliver to all destinations worldwide within 7 working days by Airmail. Please note that due to United States Food and Drugs Administration regulations requiring pre-approval for the posting of food, we need to allow an extra 1 or 2 days for sending items to the USA.
Please note: any customs duties payable on these goods are paid by the recipient of the order in their country of delivery. These charges are payable locally and are not charged by Dark Sugars at checkout. Customs duties are not payable for deliveries within the EU.
 
London pickups
 
You may place an order online to pick up from our stall at Borough Market on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. You can choose to either pay online using a debit or credit card, or pay in cash when you pick up your order. Either way, using this reservation system ensures that you do not have to wait for a large or multi-item order to be fulfilled at our stall, and you do not need to pay postage costs. Please note that we need to know your order by 12pm the day before collection. Please see Our Markets page for our opening times and our location at Borough Market.
 
Terms and conditions
 
By placing an online order with Dark Sugars, you will be deemed to have read, understood and agreed to these terms and conditions. For the purpose of these Terms and Conditions, a working day covers Monday to Friday, but not Saturday or Sunday.
 
1. Orders and payments
 
1.1 Customers are requested to complete the order form and payment pages of this site in full at the time of order. Any errors or ommissions will result in a delay to your order being accepted, processed and despatched.

1.2 All prices on this website are in British Pounds Sterling and are inclusive of VAT.

1.3 Prices quoted for products do not include delivery charges, which are calculated at checkout and added to the payment due.

1.4 If there are any problems in processing your order, Dark Sugars aims to contact you within 2 working days of the placing of the order to resolve the problem.

1.5 We process payment at the time of order and will only dispatch the goods once payment is made in full. Payments are accepted by Paypal in British Pounds Sterling. The actual amount charged to international customers depends upon the exchange rate imposed by the issuing bank of the debit or credit card being used, and is subject to change.

1.6 In the unlikely event that we cannot fulfill your order, we will contact you via email giving you two options. You may choose to wait a specified period of time for the order to be fulfilled as placed, or you may choose to accept a replacement product of the same or higher value to be delivered within our usual delivery schedules.

1.7 We take every care to ensure that the product descriptions and photography are correct and representative. However, as all of our products are handmade, there may be slight variations in the size and shape of each item.

1.8 Food orders may only be cancelled up to and including the preparation of the parcel. Once the parcel has passed to the postal carrier, Dark Sugars cannot accept a cancellation. In such an event, the retail price of the goods plus the postal charges will be refunded to the customer, minus a small administrative charge for the payment processing.

1.9 Dark Sugars does not despatch any items on Saturday and Sunday.

1.10 Any special offers are to be used individually and not in conjunction with any other special offer.
 
2. Deliveries, returns and claims
 
2.1 If the postal carrier fails to deliver due to the absence of a person at the delivery address, Dark Sugars accepts no responsibility for the late arrival and/or subsequent damage that may arise from the extra handling and storing of the parcel.

2.2 Unless faulty, Dark Sugars does not accept returns of food items.

2.3 Please check all items upon delivery and report any damaged or missing items to customerservice@darksugars.co.uk immediately. In order to accept a claim, Dark Sugars must receive the goods (the order in full) by return post before offering a refund or reimbursement. Failure to report missing or faulty items within 2 working days of reciept will be deemed an acceptance of the goods as delivered.
 
3. Notes regarding food items
 
3.1 All Dark Sugars items may contain traces of nuts.

3.2 The recipient of the order agrees to keep all chocolates and chocolate-related products in a cool, dry and odourless environment to ensure the quality and freshness remains until the Best Before date indicated on the box/es.

3.3 We advise against the ordering of chocolates and chocolate-related products to hot countries and/or during the hottest summer months in most countries. We cannot accept responsibility for heat damage to our products during transit to and within international destinations.
 
4. Additional terms
 
4.1 All products ordered from this site are for the personal consumption of the recipient. Under no circumstances may these products be resold.

4.2 These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
